I'm Mauro, aka Canta.
I am a young adult, class of '96, cook by job and photographer by passion, living in Ticino, in the south of Switzerland.
As a child, I loved being in the mountains, discovering new and spectacular places. This was thanks to the scouts, with whom I spent two weeks camping in the woods every summer, learning a simple but genuine way of life.
I've always been fascinated by technology, and thanks to the drone fad of the years 2016-2017, I got closer and closer to the world of landscape photography. It was inevitable: shortly after I purchased my first drone, a Mavic Pro, and from that day my new way of seeing the world began.
The power of self-study
A lot of dedication, some frustration and most of all passion, that's how I learned many photography and post-production techniques.
I am convinced that "learn-by-doing" is the most effective way one can learn.
Sometimes it is not the most direct, but it is definitely the one that helps the most to grow personally and professionally.
Hours and hours of watching YouTube videos, asking other photographers for advice, and taking bad pictures allowed me to find my own style and create something that was truly mine.
inspiring people without words
Since I started my adventure in the Swiss mountains, I have noticed that many people do not know about these breathtaking places. They often ask about the place or the route to get there.
This is where my energy grows in sharing these paradises just a few steps from our home.
Through my photography I have the opportunity to inspire people without adding a single word.
On the other hand, in other digital contents such as a website or graphics,
it is the words themselves that inspire people.
By combining these two worlds, I find the right space to best express my vision.
This is where my motto comes from.

During my shoots I always try to make discreet but emotional contact with the people I have to photograph. this helps to anticipate certain movements and capture the real-emotions shot.
