Paradise on Earth


Almost at the end of the Vallemaggia-Tal I found this little lake by mistake. I was just looking for spots on Google Maps and then I zoomed on the cart and found this little Lake.

I didn't think it would give me this vision. It looks like paradise on earth.

How get there

The Capanna Salei can be reached via the Zott Salei cable car in Vergeletto, where there is a large free car park that can also be reached by public transport. The Capanna Salei can be easily reached in 10 minutes, and then a slight ascent towards the lake. After about 40 minutes you reach the small lake nestling at 1924 m.a.s.l. There, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Ticino mountain chains and catch a glimpse of Lake Maggiore.
